First Round draw of the 2009 BMGA British Matchplay Championships.
The British Minigolf Association is delighted to announce the line-up draw for the 2009 BMGA British Matchplay Championships, a competition running from January 2009 and culminating in a final match at the World Crazy Golf Championships in October.

All first round matches to be played before the 31st May 2009 The draw was held at the BMGA’s HQ in Kent on 27th January 2009.
The BMGA British Matchplay Championships will run throughout the year at BMGA Affiliate Minigolf courses around the UK, and will feature 32 of the most talented UK Minigolfers facing off against each other in a knockout format. They will be attempting to qualify for the final and the chance to win a three figure sum. Ranking points will also be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th places (400, 300, 200, and 100 respectively).
In 2008’s competition a total of 29 players competed in 27 matches on 9 different BMGA Affiliate Minigolf Courses, with Tim ‘Ace Man’ Davies defeating Andy ‘Number 2’ Exall 5&4 on the Hastings Seafront Crazy Golf course to lift the title. In the third/fourth place play-off match Trevor ‘Pumbah’ Exall defeated Kevin ‘Legendus Maximus’ Botto 1up to take the final podium place.
